Huan Chen is a Mississauga-based artist whose interest in both figure and landscape leads to the exploration of connections and interactions between humans and nature. Trained as a chemical engineer, she reflects upon the issue of environmental preservation and the impact of the man-made on landscapes in her paintings. She has exhibited in many juried shows and is a recipient of multiple awards, most recently as winner of the Rheta Fines scholarship from the Women’s Art Association of Canada. She is currently in the last year of her study in the joint program of Art and Art History at University of Toronto and Sheridan College.
