Nisreen Askar is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mississauga with over 25 years of experience. A graduate of Sheridan College’s Fine Arts program and ICS Canada with a Visual Art Diploma, she is an active member of various art organizations, including the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM), Mississauga Arts Council (MAC), Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM), and the Sauga en Plein Air Painting Group. Known for her impressionist and abstract style, Nisreen’s work focuses on the interplay of color and light, often depicting landscapes and florals through bold strokes, experimenting with texture and movement using acrylics, oils, and various tools. She also creates murals and public art, having painted over 10 Bell Boxes across Mississauga and Oshawa. Deeply inspired by nature, Nisreen’s art reflects her love for her city, with vibrant pieces that aim to bring beauty and hope to her community. She works from her Port Credit studio and teaches workshops, helping others discover their unique artistic voices.
