I am Renu Sharma a passionate hand embroidery/sewing artist and instructor. My journey with embroidery began in childhood, learning this beautiful craft from my mother and grandmother, who passed down their skills and knowledge through generations.
Hand embroidery has long been an important part of Indian culture, with traditional techniques and motifs being shared within families for centuries. For many women, embroidery was not only a creative art form but also a way to preserve stories, traditions, and cultural heritage. I am proud to continue this tradition and share it with others.
In my workshops, I combine traditional hand embroidery techniques with modern creative applications. Participants will learn essential stitches, decorative embroidery methods, and practical design tips that can be used on clothing, accessories, and home decor items. They will also discover how embroidery can be used to upcycle and personalize existing garments, giving them a fresh, unique look while supporting sustainable fashion.
I believe embroidery is more than a craft—it is a mindful, rewarding, and creative form of self-expression that connects us to generations of makers before us. I look forward to sharing this timeless skill and inspiring participants to create beautiful pieces with their own hands.
