My piece titled “Relook” is a video-based work that reflects on the passage of time, ageing, and the importance of family. Footage taken from my own home and my Grandparents house showcases two sides of a lens that can be seen through my grandmothers POV and the subtle sound of a ticking clock. As time passes, it’s the little things that are often overlooked and not acknowledged enough. An example of this could be a simple hug or even zipping up your coat. Now done through the actions of myself, this exploration expresses the switching of roles between a person who was cared for now becoming the care giver.
