Artist Call: VAM Noir – Live Painting Fundraiser
VAM is looking for 22 bold, fast, and fearless artists to compete in VAM Noir, our electrifying live, 2-hour painting competition and fundraiser. Think you’ve got what it takes?
To apply, submit 2 images of original artworks completed in under 3 hours. If selected, you’ll join fellow artists for an adrenaline-pumping live painting showdown. VAM will provide 30 themed prompts — you choose one to inspire your piece.
A maximum of 22 artists will be selected to compete in the event.
Fee to apply: $30
Artists who are not selected to paint in the competiton receive a ticket to the event ($30 value).

Selected artists should bring:
✔️ Blank surface at check-in (max size: longest side= 36 inches) and all painting supplies in your medium of choice (pastel, watercolour, oil, acrylic)
✔️ Arrive up to 1 hour ahead to sketch & prep your station (6:00pm)

Prizes will be determined by live voting at the end of the evening. Paintings may also be sold at the end of the evening (commision to VAM included).
Prizes:
1st Place: $225 cash or a weekend exhibition at VAM ($450 value)
2nd Place: $150 cash
3rd Place: $75 cash
The top 3 will hit the stage for a short artist spotlight!
