CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Art in the Park proudly features interactive art experiences led by artists from our collaborative BIPOC Artist Residency, a program dedicated to supporting and amplifying underrepresented voices in the arts community of Mississauga.
Our resident artists invite visitors of all ages to participate in a fun, free drop-in activity.
Saturday: Joy & Chantelle | 11am - 1pm
Combining Chantelle’s love for mixed media & collage and Joy’s love for photography & storytelling, this workshop will explore themes of identity and our connection to nature through zine making! Each spread will dive into these themes, guided by prompts and your own visual language to reflect on who we are, how we’ve changed and how we’re influenced by the world around us. No art experience needed!
Sunday: Jenn & Sereen | 2pm - 4pm
Join VAM’s Artist Trading Card Workshop and get your creativity flowing! In this playful, hands-on session, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind collage using a fun collection of upcycled, hand-dyed papers. Use this workshop as a chance to try a new medium, connect with others, and let your imagination lead the way.

Art in the Park offers a vibrant platform for artists to showcase and sell their work.
With 60 unique artists and 41 participating each day, visitors can explore an exciting lineup of creatives offering original art, handmade goods, prints, jewelry, ceramics, and more mediums than you can imagine.
Take a stroll through the artist booths set against the natural beauty of Riverwood Park, and support local artists by purchasing one-of-a-kind pieces directly from the makers. Check out the vendor list below! (Map and booth numbers will be posted soon)

FAQs for Visitors
Is this event free to attend?
Yes! Art in the Park is free and open to the public.
Is there parking available?
Yes, parking is available at Riverwood Park, located at the intersection of Burnhamthorpe Rd W and The Credit Woodlands. Additional parking is available at the Erindale GO Station on Rathburn Rd. W. at Creditview Rd.
Bike racks are available at the main parking lot in front of the display board.
Are Dogs allowed in the Park?
Yes, leashed dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas. Please be mindful of other visitors and clean up after your pet.
Pets are not allowed indoors of the VAM building.
What happens if it rains?
Art in the Park is a rain or shine event. Most artist booths are tented, and indoor areas may be used if needed. Dress for the weather.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. Pathways throughout the park are stroller- and wheelchair-accessible. Accessible parking and washrooms are available on-site
Can I pay vendors with cash or card?
Cash is strongly encouraged as not all vendors have access to wireless payment systems.
There is no ATM on-site, so we recommend bringing cash to ensure you don’t miss out on supporting your favourite artists
