VCR: VAM Creative Residency 8
Visual Arts Mississauga is excited to introduce the 2025-2026 VCR Cohort! Mississauga continues to be a dynamic hub for artists and creative entrepreneurs. Now in its sixth year, VAM’s Creative Residency (VCR) welcomes artists aged 18-29 who live in or study in Mississauga to share their talents and grow within a supportive community.
This eight-month program offers emerging artists the chance to develop their practice through production, exhibition, and mentorship. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, education, and professional growth, residents gain access to VAM’s art centre to refine their skills in exhibition, teaching, and community engagement.
VAM’s Creative Residency is proudly supported by the Community Foundation of Mississauga.

Often taking inspiration from Dark Fantasy and Lovecraftian genres, I use crochet and knitting among other techniques to bring my visions to life. I create pieces to convey our individuality and ability to self-express in the world full of fast fashion trends and harmful practices.
