Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can I have at my Artsy Party?
A typical party includes up to 12 participants, with one artist-instructor. More participants up to a maximum of 16 guests, with two artist-instructors.
What type of time slots are available?
Parties are held from September to June: Fridays: 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and Sundays-10:00 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
Time slots may change depending on VAM’s schedule. Please inquire for availability.
What’s included with my party?
Each booking is 2.5 hours long. This allows for approximately 15 minutes to receive your guests, 1 hour 30 minutes for a guided art workshop, plus 45 minutes for cake celebrations.
Price includes invitations (virtual or printed postcard style), reusable, VAM colour-changing loot cups or pencil case, and all art materials for chosen art activity led by an Artist-Instructor.
Can I come early to set up?
All bookings include a complimentary 30 minutes to set up your dining tables and minimal decor (as desired).
You are expected to depart the venue no more than 20 minutes after your party time slot. Additional fees will be applied for any time exceeding allotted time.
Please be mindful of timing, as VAM has classes that occur before and after.
If you would like to add-on extra time to your booking, please inquire about costs and availability.
What should I bring? Are decorations allowed?
Hosts are responsible for all dining tablecloths, utensils, refreshments, snacks and/or cake. All food must be nut-free. No candles or sparklers allowed.
We recommend simple decorations such as: tabletop decor, colourful tablecloths, balloons on weights, or other items that can be taken down quickly. The use of adhesives or tape on our walls or furniture is not permitted.
What type of food can I bring? Is there a fridge?
All food must be nut-free. Most hosts opt for pizza or platters of finger foods that are easy to clean up.
We do have small fridge space available, enough for an average size birthday cake. Please let us know if you require this in advance.
How much does it cost?
Cost: $385.00+HST for 12 or fewer participants, and one artist-instructor.
For 13-16 participants, the fees are $549.00+HST for 13 participants to a maximum of 16, and two artist-instructors.
If you are hosting a birthday party: please include the birthday celebrant in the participant total.
Additional fees apply for custom workshop themes, project upgrades and/or staffing during VAM closures.
What is your payment and refund policy?
Payment in full is required to secure your party date and time slot and is due upon signing the party agreement.
- Cancellation over 14 days prior to your party will result in a 50% refund.
- Cancellation on or fewer than 14 days prior to your party will not result in a refund.
- Rescheduling your party to a new date (subject to availability) requires minimum 14 days notice prior to your original party date and will incur a $30+HST admin fee.
