Join us for Brittany Beheshti’s Solo Exhibition – Encyclopedia of Pseudobiology – from November 13-15 in our White Studio Gallery.
The opening reception will take place on November 13 from 7-9pm.
The “Encyclopedia of Pseudobiology” exhibit aims to deconstruct scientific communication by replacing fact with fiction. It mirrors a traditional science exhibit, with one key difference: The content will explore and entertain a mythical world. When learning science in our education system, so often it is presented in a black & white, right & wrong framework. This exhibit aims to remove the “absolute truth” involved in scientific practice by presenting fictional creatures that were created with evolutionary concepts in mind. It aims to redirect attention back to what science truly is: curiosity. No matter the level of scientific literacy, this exhibit will draw you in and have you asking questions.
