The Rhodo Art Collective is a group of eight Chinese-Canadian female artists residing in
Mississauga, Canada. Rooted in local landscapes and cultural surroundings, our feminine
perspectives allow us to actively engage in dialogues between self, nature and contemporary
life. Our works collectively reflect heritage, immigrant experiences, interactions with the
environment and emotional understanding across cultures.
Although educated and worked in different fields, our members have a shared passion for art as
an integral part of life. We have people trained in architecture, graphic design, fashion design,
fine art, but also people from engineering and economics. The various experiences allow a
diverse spectrum of skills but also makes the interest in art a focus in our communications and
bonding. Our group activities include figure drawing, plein air painting and regular discussions to
help each other improve artistic skills and knowledge.
