Deon Best is a multidisciplinary Fabric Artist and Creative Educator specializing in the unique East African fabric art of Batik. Blending tradition with modern creativity, Deon has facilitated over 100 successful workshops and taught more than 700 students across Canada.
His work draws inspiration from people, animals, and nature, weaving cultural storytelling into every piece. With a passion for community engagement, Deon creates spaces where participants of all ages can explore self-expression, identity, and artistic confidence through the vibrant medium of Modern Batik Fabric Art.
